Women are transforming the cybersecurity industry through bold leadership and a commitment to inclusivity. While they are still underrepresented in security compared to other industries, the gender gap is expected to gradually narrow in the coming years as more organizations prioritize diversity and create pathways for women to advance in cybersecurity roles. Today, Snyk is providing a platform to help accelerate this important transition. 

Introducing Snyk’s Women Leading Security series 

Snyk is proud to amplify the voices of female cybersecurity leaders and highlight their accomplishments through our Women Leading Security series. With conversations led by Snyk CMO Jonaki Egenolf, this series brings together influential leaders across the tech industry to share stories of resilience and innovation, offering valuable insights for professionals at every level. 

The goal of Women Leading Security is twofold: to promote greater visibility for women leaders by sharing their journeys and the lessons they’ve learned along the way, and to inspire a new generation of women to consider cybersecurity as a rewarding and impactful career. 

In these conversations, leaders from Glassdoor, HubSpot, Red Hat, Salesforce, and more share their insights and advice on: 

  • Mentorship and allyship in the modern workplace 

  • The difficulty of navigating male-dominated spaces 

  • What diversity and inclusion look like in practice 

  • Embracing new technologies as tools for change 

  • Using humanity and empathy to drive mission-driven work 

Making a difference with Girls Who Code 

To extend the impact of this series beyond the interviews, Snyk is donating $20 to Girls Who Code for every social engagement on #WomenLeadingSecurity posts, with a goal of raising $25,000. Girls Who Code is an international nonprofit that equips young women with the skills and confidence needed to pursue careers in computer science, cybersecurity, and other tech fields. The organization has a simple, admirable mission: to close the gender gap in tech by reaching five million girls, women, and non-binary people by 2030. 

In supporting their mission, Snyk aims to create more pathways for women in security and inspire a more diverse, inclusive future in the tech industry.
