0 mins readSnyk is excited to announce the general availability of Snyk Container as an officially supported and published extension in the AWS CloudFormation Registry! The CloudFormation Registry lets you manage the extensions that are available for use in your CloudFormation account. Public third-party extensions, like Snyk Container, are made available in the registry for use by all CloudFormation users alongside those published by Amazon and must be activated before use on your account.
The Snyk Container integration simplifies the monitoring of Kubernetes workloads to raise potential vulnerabilities in your open source dependencies, container images, and application configurations. Snyk integrates with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), enabling you to import and test your running workloads and identify vulnerabilities in their associated images and configurations that might make those workloads less secure. Once imported, Snyk continues to monitor those workloads, identifying additional Kubernetes security issues as new images are deployed and the workload configuration changes.
Getting started with Snyk in the AWS CloudFormation Registry
Customers can browse the registry and quickly find Snyk listed as a public extension.
Enabling the extension takes just a few clicks and clicking on the extension provides additional details such as configuration information and schema.
With the click of a button, you can activate the extension and have Snyk automatically integrated with Amazon EKS.
If you are an existing Snyk paid customer you can enable this today! New customers can also take advantage of this new integration with a free Snyk Teams trial.
