Welcoming Tamar Yehoshua to the Snyk Board of Directors

Snyk TeamJuly 26, 2021

We’re excited to announce that Tamar Yehoshua joined the Snyk Board of Directors in May. Tamar is currently Slack’s Chief Product Officer and previously held product engineering leadership roles at Google and Amazon.

As we strive to empower every one of the world’s 27 million developers to continue to build fast, while staying secure, we collectively recognize the crucial importance of building an amazing, diverse team and unique, inclusive culture along the way.

Achieving this requires commitment and action across all facets of our business, including within our Board of Directors. As Snyk continues to rapidly grow and evolve our business to meet our audacious mission, it’s important for us to identify and onboard new Board members to make us a stronger and more resilient organization moving forward.

Tamar joins us with a wealth of knowledge in the developer and tech spaces, currently operating as Chief Product Officer at Slack where she oversees product strategy as well as development, design, and research. Her passion for unlocking the full potential of the developer community will be instrumental as we continue to pioneer developer-first security and advance the DevSecOps movement worldwide.

“As Snyk is experiencing explosive growth, with enterprises of all sizes selecting our products to secure their digital transformation initiatives, Tamar’s counsel will be invaluable in this pivotal next phase of our journey,” said Peter McKay, CEO, Snyk. “I also look forward to working closely with her and the entire Snyk Board and leadership team to continue to expand and diversify our entire company throughout the remainder of 2021 and beyond.”

“With over 2 million developers already leveraging Snyk to build securely today, I greatly admire what Peter and his team have accomplished in establishing themselves as the leader in the emerging Cloud Native Application Security space,” said Tamar Yehoshua. “I can’t wait to make an immediate impact in this new role.”

Tamar is the third addition we’ve made to our Board this year following our appointments of Mike Scarpelli (CFO, Snowflake) and Ping Li (Partner, Accel) in March. We’re also currently hiring across almost every function, at every level, worldwide so if you’re interested in joining the Snyk rocket ship, visit our Jobs at Snyk page to apply today.

Please join us in officially welcoming Tamar to the Snyk family — we’re honored to have her on this journey with us!
