We're very excited to say that this week Snyk Infrastructure as Code (Snyk IaC) was named the winner of the cloud security category for the 2021 CRN Tech Innovator award.
The full list of winners, unveiled earlier this week, showcases innovative vendors in the IT channel across 47 different technology categories, in key areas ranging from cloud to storage to networking to security.
We are so proud to be recognized as a best-in-class vendor in a highly competitive category by CRN as driving transformation and innovation in the IT space. But this is just a stepping stone for what is planned for the channel at Snyk.
Snyk has already seen rapid growth and global expansion this past year. We recently made our fourth acquisition in just over a year as we said hello to CloudSkiff, adding the market’s leading open source drift detection tool to Snyk IaC. We expanded into APJ, adding many new Snykers to the team to strengthen our relationships and support services in the region, and additionally raised a Series E round of funding bringing our total funding amount to $775 million.
Continuing Snyk’s commitment to channel partnerships
As our teams and product offerings have continued to grow, so has our commitment to our channel partners.
As the leader in developer security, our distinctive approach has already disrupted the legacy cyber security industry — and the same is true in the channel. Snyk’s products continue to provide incredible value to our partner’s clients by empowering developers to own security and fix issues in code, open source dependencies, container, and infrastructure as code early and across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
As a channel partner, you are provided with cutting-edge, purpose-built products and services by Snyk which disrupt and transform security. We are always innovating on top of our existing product, including new integrations, language, and configuration formats supported, in addition to helping our partners differentiate their solutions that integrate with the Snyk developer security platform.
Our channel partners are positioned as trusted advisors in the industry to implement DevSecOps for their customers and we take our role in facilitating that very seriously.
We’re always looking towards the future. And to help guide our channel strategy we have invested in dedicated channel technical resources in all key regions as well as expanding our marketing team globally and bringing on new channel leaders across the world:
Marc Tan joins our team in ANZ as Channel and Alliances Director. Marc was previously at VMWare and is tasked with building our presence in the local channel in Australia and New Zealand, adding new partners and building on technology alliances.
Tom Dell has joined as channel manager for UK, Nordics, and South Africa.
Mark Sexton will be covering strategic partners for North America, including strategic partnerships with AHEAD, Presidio, and Trace3.
We have no intention of slowing down our work within the channel as we work together to transform the legacy cybersecurity industry and lead the cloud native application security market.
More About Snyk IaC
Snyk Infrastructure as Code (Snyk IaC) moves the security controls for infrastructure and configurations to the beginning of the development lifecycle, empowering developers with the intelligence to proactively determine whether their application and infrastructure specifications are safe. Snyk IaC pinpoints security concerns in configs/templates for Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, and ARM, as well as provides in-line fixes that can be directly merged into code with a click.
Designed to fit a developer’s workflow, Snyk IaC works where IaC developers do, by integrating with systems like Terraform Cloud and CI/CD tools as well as developer tools like source code management and IDEs. With automated security expertise embedded within development teams, organizations achieve security at scale with their software development process and eliminate the need for slow and error-prone manual code reviews.
