Snyk and AWS announce native Amazon EKS support directly from the AWS Management Console

0 minutos de leituraWe’re excited to announce that Snyk has now developed an AWS Marketplace add-on for Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), embedded directly into the AWS Management Console!
Snyk joins a small number of approved ISVs around the globe, allowing customers to deploy a Snyk agent on Amazon EKS clusters using the same methods you would use to deploy native AWS services, either manually via the AWS Management Console or by using AWS’ command-line interface (CLI). Snyk’s new EKS add-on has been validated through rigorous testing by AWS to work seamlessly with Amazon EKS.
This integration makes it easy for customers to automatically deploy the Snyk Runtime Sensor directly into their existing and newly created EKS clusters with no procurement process involved, streamlining discovery, deployment, and management of Snyk on EKS through the AWS Marketplace.
Streamline deployment of Snyk onto Amazon EKS
To deploy Snyk onto your Amazon EKS clusters:
Open your EKS cluster in the Amazon EKS console.
Navigate to the Add-ons tab and click on "Get more add-ons" to find the Snyk add-on among other third-party options.
Browse the list of Amazon EKS add-ons and AWS Marketplace add-ons. Use the search bar and filters to locate Snyk and other add-ons by categories, vendors, and pricing models. Select Snyk and click "Next".
Subscribe to the Snyk Runtime Sensor in the AWS Marketplace.
Configure the Snyk add-on by choosing the version and any optional settings.
Review and finalize the installation of the Snyk add-on to your EKS cluster.
You must have a Snyk license in order to leverage this EKS add-on.
Deploying Snyk’s EKS add-on using AWS CLI
For those who prefer using the AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI), you can deploy the Snyk add-on using the create-addon CLI command. Note that attempting to deploy Snyk without subscribing will result in an error, prompting you to complete the subscription first.
Before getting started, ensure you have the following:
AWS CLI: Install the AWS CLI to discover Amazon EKS add-ons using CLI commands.
AWS Marketplace Permissions: Verify you have the necessary permissions to subscribe to a product via AWS Marketplace. Refer to AWS Marketplace Subscription Permissions.
