As modern development teams continue to adopt new technologies, such as open source and containers, to help them accelerate their efforts, security teams are tasked with making sure they can advance their security strategies in similar ways. Check out this new Rapid7 blog post to learn why working with Snyk is so powerful for our partner, which was recently named a leader in The Forrester Wave „¢: Midsize Managed Security Services Providers, Q3 2020 report.

In the blog post, Rapid7 gives updates on the Snyk Intel Vulnerability database integration into tCell by Rapid7, a next-gen cloud WAF and RASP technology, including new expanded language coverage and functionality.

By leveraging the Snyk vulnerability database, tCell users are able to identify open source and container vulnerabilities before runtime, and pave the way to automation, remediation and ongoing monitoring to provide an end-to-end application security solution.

Snyk Intel is the most advanced and accurate open source vulnerability database in the industry. Continuously curated by the experienced Snyk Security Research Team and enriched with machine learning, the Snyk Intel Vulnerability Database maintains its high standards to enable developer efficiency containing open source security issues, while maintaining their focus on rapid development.

In addition to Rapid7, Red Hat, Docker, Google Chrome Lighthouse, the Linux Foundation, Tenable, and Trend Micro embed Snyk Intel vulnerability data into their products to identify critical vulnerabilities in open source dependencies and container images.

What’s ahead?

Snyk and Rapid7 will co-host a webinar highlighting the importance of shifting left and right for robust application security. We’re also thrilled Rapid7 is sponsoring the first-ever SnykCon taking place Oct. 21-22. Register today for the free event designed to help development, security and operations teams accelerate the development of secure software. 100% of the proceeds will benefit our charitable partner The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
