Welcoming Manoj Nair: Snyk’s New Chief Product Officer

Since our inception, Snyk’s North Star has been to create products that delight developers by equipping them with the tools to build and maintain innovative, secure apps that help their security counterparts succeed.

We took an unconventional approach to the cybersecurity industry, by embracing PLG to build and foster a devoted community — that we ultimately leveraged to close larger deals for further features such as unlimited code security tests, reporting, and more. We’ve come a long way since our first free, self-service version of Snyk Open Source in 2015. Today, our industry defining Developer Security Platform also includes our market leading Code, Container, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products, and last week, we unveiled our newest product, Snyk Cloud. We’ve disrupted the application security industry, and are now aiming to leverage our unique, developer-centric approach to dominate the cloud security space (estimated to be $77.5 billion by 2026)  as well.

Against the backdrop of this incredible opportunity, I’m thrilled to announce that Manoj Nair joins Snyk today as our new Chief Product Officer. In this pivotal phase of Snyk’s growth, Manoj will lead our global product team, setting our comprehensive product roadmap and strategy in both the short and long-term.

Manoj joins our seasoned Leadership Team from Commvault (NASDAQ: CVLT), where he served as Chief Cloud Officer and General Manager of Metallic, accelerating the growth of the company’s crucial cloud and SaaS business units. During his tenure, Manoj brought the concept of proactive cyber detection technology to the forefront, helping to redefine the industry’s perception of legacy data protection.

Prior to his impactful time with CVLT, he was the co-founder and CEO of HyperGrid and held product leadership roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Dell EMC, and RSA Security. Additionally, Manoj holds more than a dozen information management and security patents and currently serves on CloudSphere’s board.

Manoj is accepting the baton from Aner Mazur, a veteran Snyker who will be taking on an exciting and significant role as our Senior Vice President of Market Strategy as well as our official Executive Sponsor for Snyk’s growing Cloud security business. Reporting directly to me, Aner will be responsible for positioning the Snyk team to navigate the complex and ever-evolving market landscape.

I look forward to watching Manoj and Aner take on these critical new assignments, and push our global team to continuously think bigger as we work to empower every one of the world’s 27 million (and growing) developers to build securely.
