We’re excited to share that we have launched a Snyk User Community to bring our users and team together to share knowledge and experiences, personal and community projects built upon Snyk, discuss all things security—from DevSecOps, to AppSec, through Cloud Native Sec, as well as have quick and easy access to product & security announcements.

So, how does it work?

You can register using your Github or Twitter accounts, or just plain old email, and once in the community you are welcome to write posts, share projects, read, discuss, like, and comment.  We definitely encourage you to join the conversations, as with all things, we are always better together

Some of the ways to do that are by:

  1. Introducing yourself in the welcome thread and let us know where you’re from and what you’re working on.

  2. Share your experienceswith specific technology stacks, and your personal projects.

  3. Create discussions and ask questions about security, product features, and learn from others.

  4. Follow tags, and learn more about security vulnerabilities (and find out how to quickly remediate your stack).

  5. Connect with other Snyk users.

Stuff to check out

In the left sidebar you will find quick navigation links to useful Snyk resources—our YouTube channel, Podcast, Knowledge Center, and more.

Your profile

In your profile you can add your bio, social media profiles, Github, and other resources you are proud of and would like to share with fellow Snyk users. You can also create an organization for your company, and add your colleagues.  This will enable the entire community to see all of the content created by your company when it is clicked on.

You also have some nifty features for your favorite UX theme, sharing projects you're working on, and more—so please do share with the community the cool stuff you are hacking away at, and take the opportunity to meaningfully share and participate.

What’s the first thing I can check out?!

ICYMI the first-ever SnykCon was pretty awesome (you can check out Day 1 Highlights and Day 2 Wrap Up) if you need more convincing. You can check out all of the Announcements and Videos from SnykCon in the community - let us know which you liked most, and things you’ve learned.

Don’t forget this is also Cyber Security Awareness month, and our own Alyssa Miller is doing a 31 Days of DevSecOps series, follow the tag to read an announcement for each day.

Please remember

If you are looking for support on specific issues with using Snyk, we encourage you to check out our knowledge base, and open a ticket for our support team to be able to properly address your query.

Any responses received from other community members are solely based on individuals’ personal experiences, and may not always be the Snyk recommended solution.

We expect everyone in the community to treat each other kindly and respectfully, and to abide by our code of conduct to participate.

Looking forward to having you join us in our newly minted user community, feel free to share it forward, and invite your colleagues and friends to join as well.

Join the Snyk user community!
