Upgrade Ubuntu:14.04
tiff
to version 4.0.3-7ubuntu0.11+esm1 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream tiff
package and not the tiff
package as distributed by Ubuntu
.
See How to fix?
for Ubuntu:14.04
relevant fixed versions and status.
Null source pointer passed as an argument to memcpy() function within TIFFFetchStripThing() in tif_dirread.c in libtiff versions from 3.9.0 to 4.3.0 could lead to Denial of Service via crafted TIFF file. For users that compile libtiff from sources, the fix is available with commit eecb0712.
