CVE-2015-5276 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
There is no fixed version for Ubuntu:14.04
gcc-4.8
.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gcc-4.8
package and not the gcc-4.8
package as distributed by Ubuntu
.
See How to fix?
for Ubuntu:14.04
relevant fixed versions and status.
The std::random_device class in libstdc++ in the GNU Compiler Collection (aka GCC) before 4.9.4 does not properly handle short reads from blocking sources, which makes it easier for context-dependent attackers to predict the random values via unspecified vectors.
