Upgrade Debian:10
patch
to version 2.7.6-3+deb10u1 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream patch
package and not the patch
package as distributed by Debian
.
See How to fix?
for Debian:10
relevant fixed versions and status.
do_ed_script in pch.c in GNU patch through 2.7.6 does not block strings beginning with a ! character. NOTE: this is the same commit as for CVE-2019-13638, but the ! syntax is specific to ed, and is unrelated to a shell metacharacter.
