How to fix?

Upgrade Centos:6 libxml2 to version 0:2.7.6-21.el6_8.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libxml2 package and not the libxml2 package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:6 relevant fixed versions and status.

The (1) xmlParserEntityCheck and (2) xmlParseAttValueComplex functions in parser.c in libxml2 2.9.3 do not properly keep track of the recursion depth, which allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (stack consumption and application crash) via a crafted XML document containing a large number of nested entity references.
