Upgrade Amazon-Linux:2018.03 bash to version 0:4.2.46-34.43.amzn1 or higher.
This issue was patched in ALAS-2020-1379.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream bash package and not the bash package as distributed by Amazon-Linux. See How to fix? for Amazon-Linux:2018.03 relevant fixed versions and status.

rbash in Bash before 4.4-beta2 did not prevent the shell user from modifying BASH_CMDS, thus allowing the user to execute any command with the permissions of the shell.
