Snyk + International Dog Day: recap

As we mentioned in August, Snyk was excited to celebrate International Dog Day! We love dogs at Snyk, and we like to think of our platform as the #DevelopersBestFriend when it comes to security.

The story of Patch

We’re always willing to honor and celebrate dogs (and developer security tools), so we launched our celebration of the International Dog Day campaign with the story of the history of our beloved mascot, Patch. Why is Patch so important to us? Well, first of all, he’s a dog — and dogs are great. Next, he represents things we truly believe in at Snyk: securing applications (like so many dogs who are loyal guards of their spaces) and supporting developers by helping them fix vulnerabilities (that’s why Patch is a developer’s best friend).

Dog sketch sweepstakes winners

A key part of our campaign was our Sweepstakes offering. In exchange for following Snyk on social media and sharing a picture of their furry friend, all entrants were granted the chance to win a custom sketch of their dog, drawn by our own mega-talented Senior Director of Creative Brand and Design, Michal Woroniecki. Our users and followers responded to this campaign with enthusiasm, and Michal’s dog sketches did not disappoint. Here’s a look at the winners' dog photos and custom portraits.

We also celebrated International Dog Day with a $10,000 USD donation from Snyk Impact to Humane Society International. They work around the globe to protect and care for animals, and that’s a cause we can get behind. Patch approves!
