Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream cyrus-sasl-lib package and not the cyrus-sasl-lib package as distributed by Centos. See How to fix? for Centos:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

In Cyrus SASL 2.1.17 through 2.1.27 before 2.1.28, plugins/sql.c does not escape the password for a SQL INSERT or UPDATE statement.
