Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Integer Overflow or Wraparound. A flaw was found in ImageMagick in MagickCore/statistic.c. An attacker who submits a crafted file that is processed by ImageMagick could trigger undefined behavior in the form of values outside the range of type unsigned long. This would most likely lead to an impact to application availability, but could potentially cause other problems related to undefined behavior. This flaw affects ImageMagick versions prior to 7.0.8-69.

A request initiated during this narrow window would pick the faulty session, send it to the malicious server and skip the verification of the server's certificate.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Resource Shutdown or Release. An issue was discovered in dbus >= 1.3.0 before 1.12.18. The DBusServer in libdbus, as used in dbus-daemon, leaks file descriptors when a message exceeds the per-message file descriptor limit. A local attacker with access to the D-Bus system bus or another system service's private AF_UNIX socket could use this to make the system service reach its file descriptor limit, denying service to subsequent D-Bus clients.

Remediation

Upgrade dbus to version or higher.
